Broadening the spectrum of form and function

Here at SLS we appreciate good design, especially when typography is used to broaden the spectrum of form and function. For example, consider the unique approach that Palette Industries takes in the execution of these ingenious products. While Palette Industries offers a diverse assortment of beautifully crafted products, our favorites include the Dharma Lounge and Camus Floor Lamp. If you want to be inspired by innovative, out-of-the box thinking, check out Palette Industries website and you won’t be disappointed. While on the subject of typographic design, we can’t help but mention that the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI is a place you must visit if you’re looking for a world-class design experience. On a recent trip to Grand Rapids, Street Level Studio founders Joe and Wendy Davis visited this amazing garden and sculpture park which houses the Midwest’s most comprehensive outdoor sculpture collection. Of course, being in the graphic design industry, they were particularly drawn to the remarkable typographic sculpture by Grand Rapids, MI artist Erin Waineo. So we leave you with this... take notice—design is truly everywhere.
