If there’s one thing we have in common at Street Level Studio, it’s that we know when to appreciate out-of-the-box ideas and conceptualization. A great concept is

the core to any successful endeavor, whether it be artistic or not. Here are just a few of our favorite finds where a concept is taken to the next level producing some interesting results:

Water Figures by Linden Gledhill Using a high-speed camera, Linden Gledhill captures these amazing photos of water-based paints reacting to sounds from speakers.

Measuring Typography by Matthew Robinson It’s a proven fact that some fonts are more economical than others because they use less ink. In this study, designer Matthew Robinson puts this fact to the test by drawing various typefaces at the same point size with ballpoint pens to see how much ink is consumed. The remaining ink levels show an interesting comparison of just how much ink is used in one typeface verses another.
